How yall doing?? this week was good, I don't have much to say so I'm sorry haha. but, if you sent ,me an email and I still haven't responded, would you send it again? i know there are 2 but I can't see them anymore cuz this email only lets me see like 20 at a time so sorry, but yeah haha lol. 

This week we had our first baptism. It was awesome, Its hard tho, our ward well theres not many members entonces we cleaned the font Friday morning, and the members told us they would fill it for the baptism that night, we have an appointment so we were running a bit late, but got there at 6:45 and it was supposed to start at 7... but the font wasn't full at all... so we had to get a bucket, go to a members house, fill it up, dump it in the font. over and over again until it was full so that was honestly a good memory haha, like it was rough, but how funny for my first baptism. 

On Tuesday this week we had a 3 week reunion, that was good to see all the Elders from the CCM. theyre all doing good so thats good!! this week i had to start taking the lead in contacting and knocking doors, it was really hard lol. but im starting to get the hang of it, funny story at one house the person opened the door and i have no idea what happened but i literally yelled, "HOLA SOMOS MISIONAROS Y COMPARTIMOS UN MENSAJE DE FELIZIDAD CON TODAS LAS FAMILIAS, VAMOS A COMPARTIR CON USTEDES" and the poor mom literally was so scared, but we shared our message and they are a new family were teaching so theres that haha. ahhhh the zone leader told me i might have to run this area after this change, with a new comp, which is odd cuz usually youre trained for 2 changes with the same trainer so theres that rumor, im not sure if its true or not, i hope its not haha. starting this month im gonna be an english teacher for half of the stake. and teach english in a class once a week, so thats kinda wild but hey more ways to find people to share this message of true happiness. so thats good, i gave my first talk yesterday!! i threw down on the law of chastity haha, stay clean my friends, really thats important haha. anyways i sure love you all and love hearing from you!!

Guys how are you all?? this week was good!! a bit wild.. but good for sure. haha elder salas and i are getting along very well, its a very big blessing. The language is really starting to work out, to the point where i literally cant remember words or form sentences corretly. or spell lol so sorry in anvance for that. haha here in peru they take little moto taxis everywhere and they remind me of the rollercoasters at lagoon, there are no traffic laws and its absolutley wild but its fun haha. last week we were supposed to have 2 baptisms, but for one reason or another it didnt work out so those 2 will be this week and we have one more, so three this week and one for the 16th!! im soexcited!! haha this week elder salas and me have been waking up at 6 to go play and practice soccer, thats been fun but hard haha cuz less sleep but the results showed today when we played with our zone haha. on thursday we were at the church for an activity and one of the young men had a book full of colonge smells lol, and so we like rubbed the smells on our ties and now they smell really good lol. awe man there was one lesson this week and i zoned out on accident and all the sudden everyone was laughing at me but hey if it was funny im cool with it haha. HERES THE CRAZY PART; SORTA elder salas had to have a small surgury this week on his toe, i was really worried he would have to go home or something but they tond him to get it done here in patapo which really surpeized me cuz its wild here haha. but we went late friday night to get it done, we were in the same room and they said no only the patient and we were like we have to be in the same room but they refused... so i sat right outside, my poor comp. but then they started and a bunch of little kids went in to watch im like what in the world people. they distryed his toe but its better now haha. he couldnt walk for 2 days so we were in our appt really working hard on the language and memorizing scriptures and what not, it was kinda boring but really good cuz the language is much better haha. SECOND CRAZY PART we were in ward counsel last night, and our ward is really struggling with a lot of stuff. but they asked us if we could be the young mens presidency, elder salas the president and me his first counsel, we didnt know if we were allowed to so they are working with the mission president right now to work something out so thats way crazy!! but super super cool!! yeah thats pretty much our week, id love to hear from you all. just what youre up to and some fun stories haha!! love you all!!

Awe man this week was much better. first thing id like to talk about is the power of prayer. the lord always listens. second thing is pan de mantequilla we found this shop that sells it. its amazing. 8 pieces for one sole which is like 30 cents in the states lol. in the middle of the week we had an interchange with the zone leader and hes way cool, elder harbertson. it was good to talk in english for 24 hours haha. he told me something that might change my whole mish, he said you watched the office right? yeah duh lol. he then reminded me of the episode where andy says "i wish there was a way to know youre in the good old days while youre in them" these really are the good old days, in a different country with tons of different things. live it up cuz these are the good old days. 

okay, if anyone wants to send anything... im not asking for anything, really. but i think that if you want to send something it will get here in time for christmas depending lol. just write this on whatever it is.

I HAD THE NOODLE DREAM!!! it was funny 2 cuz we had noodles that night for dinner but i dreamt in spanish it was sweet haha

we have 2 baptisms this saturday and were stoked!! the spanish is coming along quite well!! the prophet was in lima and he spoke to us missionaries and to the people it was sweet. he even gave a talk in spanish hes amazing. elder blood and i are good hommies, were in the same zone so we play soccer together and hang out when we can, his comp and my comp knew eachother before so it works out. this week was a good time for sure love you all!!!!!

First week in the field. man this is a lot harder than i thought it would be... BUT the lord is with me every step of the way. my comp is elder salas from argentina. few fun facts about him, he playyed pro soccer, broke his ankle, and here he is on the mish. he has been out for 10 months. and hes so kind, hes helping me a ton, plans of going to byu and playing soccer there after. my first area is patapo, its poor, pretty poor. but its good! we have 2 baptisms on the 27th. and we found a family that is perfect. one of their daughters reminds me so much of holland its the most preacious thing. when we got here elder salas pranked me and told me that we were going to teach.i was pooped. when we got to the house it was our ward mission leader named edson. he had a cake inca cola, pictures... all of elder oldroyd my old comp. he heard wrong over the phone. it was the best tho, the people are so kind. they have near nothing. but sooooo giving.the launguage is good, i worry to much i think, all the people tell me its fine and i have good pronuncation. so thats good. today was our first pday and it was great, elder blood from sandy utah is in our zone and were good pals, it was fun. we went and played soccer as a zone all morning i got way burnt but it was good!! theres also a guy that just sits outside our cuarto all day and all night yelling moto moto haha its funny. any ways, guys this is hard... but its hard because the price of salvation was not cheap. it costed our savior jesus christ his life. thats why this is hard. but i love it here. just need to get more used to it. its so good tho. i would love to hear from you all, just stories and jokes and whatever else youve got haha love you all!!

Last Week in the CCM Oct 3, 2018

This week was pretty cool!! I felt our first earthquake that was wild lol. 

Our district is so cool, I'm gonna miss them so much. They are all so much fun and at the same time we all work hard to keep the spirit with us. We went out into the city on Saturday, that was a great experience. The first guy I actually talked to was very interested and I talked to him about baptism for like 15 mins. And it went so well. I bore my testimony and gave him my Book of Mormon and it went so well. 

Man singing Spanish hymns is so powerful I love it so much. great experience. I sure love my comps, they are awesome. I'm gonna miss them when we leave on Monday. 

Also just so everyone knows, I will not be able to email next week because we leave here on Monday and then pday in the field is also Monday so I won't talk to y'all for a few weeks but yeah haha. this work is so awesome. I'm thankful for it every day. I've got 35 pages of the Book of Mormon left, and I hope to finish it by tomorrow. Also, this weekend is general conference and we can't wait. There are gonna be some huge changes. Its gonna be sweet!! I would invite you all to watch it, at least part of it regardless of your religious background. It will bless your life!! 

Spanish is coming along very well!! I'm excited to be out in the field and talk to everyone!! My Spanish is far from perfect, but its coming along quite well. I'm so stoked. I sure love and miss you all!!

this week was awesome!! so much happened ill do my best to summarize and get my point across lol. 

so the first thing was that my pen died and i couldnt find the one my good buddy eric made for me. i thought i left it at home but after just one simple prayer i found it in my scripture bag of all places lol. it was very sweet. 

we also started teaching a new person, her name is eloisa and shes very sweet, were working hard to be able to get her to progress. 

all of the new elders came this week. and 2 of them are in our room they are awesome and have such strong testimonies of the attonement its awesome.

i started the book of mormon over when i got here and im just about finished with it, its been such a blessing to go through and read everything.

i got sick this week, our whole district did but were alll just about over it.

on sunday i gave a talk in sacrament, did a musical #, and gave the priesthood lesson, it was a lot for one day but it really was a great experience 

the natives are so nice, they all love talking to us and helping us out with spanish and we love teaching them a little bit of english haha its great!

THIS WAS SO AWESOME one night i was feeling really discouraged and sad, and i just was having a hard day. i was studying late at night by the window that looks out to the city kinda. and was just a little sad, when one elder, elder rodriguez came and sat by me. and with what i could pick up (cuz it was spanish) he began to tell me all about his life. it made us both cry, after about 30 mins he asked me why is life so hard? in that moment, i felt like i needed to bear my testimony in spanish and i did, the words that came from my mouth, were not mine, they were gods and we both cried cuz the spirit was so strong. 

i came to know from this special moment that this mission is not for me at all. not even a little bit, this mission is for god and his son, its for all of you, its to be an example to others, its for the people that i will serve with, and its for the people i will serve. it was an amazing thing. love you all. 

we are going out to the city this week to teach i cant wait!!

my companions are so awesome!! we get along great which is a huge blessing, love those elders!!

This is awesome Sep 13, 2018

You guys this is so awesome. The work is very hard, we are on that spiritual grind all day long but its the best, its like 2 a days for football but 100 times more draining and 100 times better lol. 

This week was similar to last week. I don't have much to write except that we got another companion, Elder Morrill and he's awesome. He knows Spanish so well and has helped us out so much, some say its hard to be in a group of 3 but its been a great blessing. I love it. 

One thing that was really funny was last week we had a devotional and during choir time one Elder turned and said (after singing peace in christ) he said "the spirit is so strong right now I could slay Laban, the spirit wouldn't even have to ask twice" that was hilarious. 

I love that song so much I sing it like every day lol and I'm terrible at singing. But its awesome. 

For those of you who email me, I'm sorry, I don't have much time to email. But I will respond either with a short response or with a picture of a letter the next week. 

We are so excited, tonight we are going to invite Nahwell to be baptized and we think he's ready. It's going to be awesome. My Spanish is coming along!! 

Guys this work is so amazing, I cant even begin to explain it. Anyways, I love you all so much, thank you for all the support, and love. I love hearing from you all. Make good choices, be good boys and girls, and remember I'm always here for you all!!
