for those of you who know me well, know basketball is a top 10 for me, so i figured id make a basketball reference. this week ive been teaching elder castro how to be a missionary and all that fun stuff, and ive heard the best way to teach is by example. so this week weve just been going way hard. knocking every door that i feel any sort of feeling, talking with as many people as i possibly can, finding new people to teach and inviting them to change their lifes. its been a good week and ill tell ya what im learning quite a bit!!
so i thought id share an experience from this week.
so we had an appt sunday night, and we were going to it. then on the way i felt way strongly to turn down this one dirt road that was kinda dangerous. but i felt the promting to do it so we did, i knocked a few doors and nobody was home and others didnt want anything. so then i was like well that was dumb lets go to the appt, so we started going and i felt it again. so then i turned back around went further and knocked more. then i saw a road that went left so i was like thats the one and then i saw a green house and was like okay thats the one so i went to knock it and this one lady opened up and was like NO she didnt want anything. but then this venezuelan was like no we wanna hear so we came in and shared with them... then i looked up and one of them looked just like a good pal of mine (just from venezuela) and it was awesome we shared with them and it was a great lesson. it helped me know that i need to listen to the spirit, always haha..
were doing really well here. sharing the gospel with a lot of people and changing their lifes. its incredible to be a missionary.
