Anyways this week has been AWESOME, not just Saturday and Sunday. But the whole week haha. So like the title says, this week I've started to learn Portuguese and its killing me haha. One of these days ill speak 3 languages, but for now I don't really speak any language fluent because the three are getting mixed up in my head... Wish me luck haha.
So this week i had an interchange with a brand new elder whose name is Elder Robinson, he went to Bingham and he's a stud. We had some awesome lessons that ill be talking about later in the email. But yeah it was sweet!!
Oh yeah before that we had a meeting called "leadership council" it was sweet, we talked about a lot of stuff we've gotta get doing as a mission. There's a lot of stuff we've got to get better at as a mission, but I'm glad that we were able to find some of our weaknesses so that we can MEJORAR jaja.
Then Wednesday we had a meeting with the mission president and the stake president. Sadly the mission president didn't show up haha, so we had to do it without him haha, it was good though!! Kind of interesting because without the mission president there, the stake president and the other guys just went super off topic, we kept on trying to get them back on track but yeah its all good!!
On Thursday we had our English class and it was sweet!! Nothing 2 exciting about it but it was a good time haha.
On Friday we went and did an interchange with an area that's having a few problems so we went there to help out a little bit, it was a good time!! We put the goal to talk to everyone about the living prophet and the conference that we were gonna have on Sunday. It was way cool, we found this guy that was like "no, there's no way there's a prophet in our days... No way..." after talking with him for a second we asked him, "if there was a way to know that he's a prophet, would you do what it takes to find out?" he said yeah... Guess who showed up to the general conference??
Saturday we went looking for a new apartment in the morning, didn't find one but hey. Then almost all day long we were in the stake center with the conference and all. It was a great time. Honestly, there's a lot of stuff i could say about how great it was. But the important thing was that I was able to get answers to a few questions that i had had for a LONG time. So you bet it was a good one. (does that phrase still make sense?)
Sunday, the same thing with the conference. It was awesome, then for lunch we went to eat with one of the members that's helping us out teaching this one family. So we went to eat with them in their new house. Then we boogied back to the conference and it was sweet. When it ended we went back to the apartment to get ready and to make a few calls. We ended up calling this guy that we had contacted last Monday, he said we could come over and visit him, so we went and it was sweet. His name is Dante and he's a tank. For a few weeks I have been praying to find someone so willing and able to learn. When he told us that he was gonna go looking for a church... Decided not to.. and then we called... My heart sank in that moment. I knew that God had answered my prayer. We have another appointment with him on Wednesday. So were stoked for that!!
Right after that appointment we went to visit a guy named Jose. The missionaries have been teaching him for 6 months and all his file says is that he's got a lot of problems with his family and he doesn't really pay a lot of attention... When I went with that new elder that i talked about, Elder Robinson. We found out that his real problem was that he didn't understand why it was so important to have a living prophet.. and that he didn't understand the Book of Mormon. So we explained that and it was a miracle to see how fast everything changed. There's a quote, I'm' not sure where its from but pretty much its a question "what doesn't this person understand that if he understood, they would progress" THIS WAS THE THING THAT WAS HOLDING HIM BACK. It honestly felt so good to be able to help him understand. He got so stoked when he finally understood.
Anyways this week was SWEEEEEEET and this next
